Climb Corona Mountain
The day begins at Hotel de Larache, where a van shuttles you past Salar de Atacama – the largest salt flat in Chile – and through the desert to the town of Talambre. The peak of Corona sits half a mile higher than Talambre, and makes for a grueling four-hour climb over volcanic rocks and boulders.
