Jimmy Chin, Conrad Anker, and Renan Ozturk reached the summit of India’s 21,000-foot Mount Meru on October 2, 2011. At 31, Ozturk (far right) was the youngest and least experienced of the three, who are all salaried North Face climbers. During the ascent, he brought up the rear for Anker (center) and Chin (left), who have 60 expeditions and four Everest summits between them.
