[...] Coffee’s Next Wave September 2, 2010 by johnsuhar Since recently returning from the Just Coffee Cooperative Delegation in Esteli, Nicaragua thoughts of coffee have constantly been on my mind. Upon my return, I reached out to a number of friends to better understand their perspectives on coffee and the fair trade system we have in place. One of my close friends questioned “why isn’t coffee priced more like wine,” and a recent Men’s Journal touched on that thought. The article is titled “Coffee’s Next Wave.” It can be below here or by clicking the link here. [...]

If you want to catch the real cutting edge, look into home roasting. It's surprisingly easy, and you get not only the incredible variety of individual small grower's coffee, you get an absolute guarantee of freshness. And, after you amortize the cost of the roaster, it's much less expensive.

I've tasted the high quality brands and beans. To tell you the truth I'd take the cheap and easy stuff anyday. Whether its drive thru or k-cup, the faster I can consume that caffeine the better!
